About Us

Established in 2003, we are an independent charity providing free advocacy in Cornwall.

Our Mission

We are working to empower people with learning disabilities to have their voices heard, and make choices and decisions about their lives.

Our mission is to provide free independent advocacy support for children, young people and adults with a learning disability in Cornwall and Isles of Scilly to enable them to take more control over their lives.

Cornwall Advocacy is guided by our four core values:

Cornwall Advocacy’s advocates are independent of community care service providers and of their advocacy partners’ relatives. The advocates’ loyalty is to their partners.

Cornwall Advocacy values diversity and operates within an equal opportunities framework.

The service provided by Cornwall Advocacy is completely confidential.

Cornwall Advocacy believes that working in partnership with other organisations and individuals in the voluntary, public and private sectors are key to the delivery of a good service.
